What I had learnt in the English lessons in the last week(from 26-11-2007 to 30-11-2007)(3-12-2007)
I had learnt the grammar of adjectives in the last week. Adjectives are words that describe nouns. We can use one or more adjectives before a noun to describe it. We can use nouns as adjectives by putting them before another noun. In general, it's better yo use only one or two adjectives before a noun (with an article, possessive adjective or other determiner if necessary). We usually do not use commas between the adjectives. If we use two adjectives of the same type, we should use and between them. If we use more than two, use commas as well.

What I had learnt in the English lessons in the last week(from 19-11-2007 to 23-11-2007)(26-11-2007)
I had learnt the grammar of 'to'infinitives' and 'bare infinitive'.
To-infinitives can be followed by objects of other words. It called infinitive phrases.
We can use a to-infinitive to say why someone does something.
We can also use a to-infinitive to say why someone needs or uses something.
The bare infinitive is the infintive form without the word to. Bare infinitives, like to-infinitives have no tense or singular/plural ending. You do not change them at all. After the verbs let and make you can use a verb+indirect object+bare infinitive pattern.

We took the volume of the conversation is better than the last time. And it is more interesting than the last time.
But we think the conversation can be more interesting so we will do it better in the conversation in next time.

This is an example of modal verbs—‘should’ in the article ‘Chance to cover the HK marathon’ by Michelle Chan. (On page 5 of Youngpost, from the November 8, 2007 edition of the South China Morning Post newspaper.)
The modal verb ‘should’ is used in this example sentence because in this sentence there want to ask for advice but do not want to make a offer or ask for permission or request something to the media.

What I have learned in making an advertisement for the food fair(8-11-2007)
In making an advertisement for the food fair I have learnt how to prepare a project.
If we want to be easily to do and did it well, we should do it step by step.
We should choose a place, a time, characteristics and a cameraman for the advertisement.
Then write the conversation for the characteristics. It is easier to do the advertisement when they get their conversation early.
The important thing is we must remember that the advertisement is need to around the topic of food fair.
In the advertisement of my group I think our conversation of the two characteristics are quite boring. I think we should add some movement to the two characteristic do that the advertisement can be more interesting. But I think my group has taken a good place for this advertisement because the place is very beautiful and quiet and I like it.

Chocolate Chew
==============
Ingredients + Instructions:
---------------------------
Melt together 6oz butter and 1 Tbs golden syrup. Add 1 cup flour,
1 cup rice bubbles, 1 cup coconut, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 Tbs cocoa and
1/2 tsp vanilla. Mix well together. Bake in moderate oven 180C (350F)
20 minutes. Ice with chocolate icing while warm and cut into fingers.
Source: rec.food.recipes
The word I choose is ‘ingredient’. It means the things we need for the activity that we do. I choose this word because if we want to cook something follows by the recipe but we don’t know what does this word mean, we would not know what are the following things mean and we can’t cook the food that we want.

'Kids Who Are Picky Eaters' commentary(12-10-2007)
I think the parents should cook everything for their child to eat start from the child can eat things. If they don’t like to eat, the parents can add some seasoning in the first few times. The parents should eat everything. The school can help the parents too. They can provide the healthy lunch for the students.
I am a picky eater. I won’t eat apple because my inner mouth feel rough after I eat apple. I don’t like it. So I don’t eat it. But I like to drink apple juice.

What I learnt in this week( 24/9/2007-28/9/2007)
I learnt how to use intransitive and transitive in the English lesson in this week.
A wonder in Hong Kong (28-9-2007)
If I had to choose something or some place in Hong Kong to be the ninth wonder of the world, I would choose Tian Tan Buddha. I chose it because Tian Tan Buddha is a large bronze statue of the Buddha but it only used a few years to finish it. It is a great job. It is a wonder and also a popular tourist attraction in Hong Kong. I think only Tian Tan Buddha can represent Hong Kong. And I also think it can be the ninth wonder of the world.
Homework: One important word (28-9-2007)
‘Defend’ was the word I chose from the article about the new seven wonders of the world. The word ‘defend’ like a word ‘defense’ so I think ‘defend’ means to protect something from harm. I choose it because in past, every country defends itself every time and we can learn it history from it to defend itself. The word ‘defend’ appears many times in history books. We can easier to read the history books after we learnt this word.
